• Ritz Crackers
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 ¼ tsp. peppermint extract
  • 1 tsp. Crisco
  1. In microwave, melt chocolate chips in glass bowl using 30 second increments until chocolate is melted.
  2. After melting chocolate, I found it would begin to harden – making it difficult to dip-so I added 1 tsp.  Crisco  in order to smooth it out.
  3. Add peppermint extract folding it into the  melted chocolate.  Be careful not to add too much
  4. Open your crackers and dip each cracker into the  chocolate flipping the cracker over with a fork to be sure entire cracker is covered.
  5. Remove with fork and try to scrape any extra chocolate from bottom (with another fork)
  6. place on a cookie tray lined with parchment or wax paper.
  7. Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes to let chocolate set.
  8. Remove and enjoy!

My family always loves that time of year when the Girls Scouts start selling their famous Yummy cookies! Now when the little ladies stop selling, we don’t have to go without 🙂  This DIY recipe is so simple and they taste just like the real thing.  You can definitely fake the kido’s out with this one.
